3rd CIPACI seminar on citizenship, participation and civil society research

3rd CIPACI seminar Approaches to citizenship and participation will take place on January 8th 9-18 at Roskilde Vandrerhjem (hostel). At 18.30 a dinner will be served at Sneppen, the restaurant just next to the hostel.

This time we have four presenters 9-14-30. The presentations are 30 minutes each, leaving time for discussion after each presentation. Each presenter is asked to give special attention to how ‘citizenship’ is placed in the research and to give suggestions of the structural frame of CIPACI.

At 14.30 to 18.00 a discussion is scheduled:

  • The centre is spanning of a number of different geographical and social contexts. Can we develop a common understanding or terminology with which we can illuminate them analytically?
  • Future activities:
    • teaching at Global Studies?
    • The lecture series – could we supplement with workshop with the invited lecturer?
    • Or should we invite other lecturers from outside CIPACI, outside RUC?
    • Other activities – publishing together?
